Letterpress Printing in 2 Minutes

As a designer letterpress is the be-all and end-all of printing (for me at least). When you design something in a digital publishing suite you are truly disconnected from the art of printing. You don’t feel the paper, you don’t have to move the characters so they’re perfectly aligned and there really isn’t any physical assertion going into what you’re creating.

Click. Click. Click. Computers have truly revolutionized printing and design.

Letterpress is so classic and in the world of weddings and fine stationery – it reigns king. When I feel a business card that’s letterpress – I feel nostalgic and appreciate it just that much more. So watch this video. I think it will really open your eyes as to why letterpress is so amazing and thus so expensive. I have a sneaking suspicion you’ll appreciate it just that much more.
